Down to the bottom part of South Florida, ah Miami how I love you when you tuck your traffic away. Ah such a breeze for me to zip down and visit Gutter Club USA. Such a beautiful yet overcast Sunday afternoon it was. Sure, my visit like most was to hangout and film some Jazz with them, but I’m going to come clean this time. I caught wind that Danny was ordering pizza later that day, so I invited myself over for a slice or three.
Always be prepared.
However, I masked my true intentions by shooting some bits for a little unannounced series we started filming some time this year. This Sunday afternoon turned out to be more overcast when I got there. When I got there they shared the bad news that Covid-19 had ruined their plans to attend NODRFT‘s End of the Year Bash in the state of Louisiana. Some people go to the islands for vacation or the house where rat infestation is welcome because they persuade you with the magic of imagination and over price water bottles, Disney world. But for them this event has become a part of their yearly drift-cation.
However, the state of Louisiana called for gatherings of such to be shut down due to the recent spike in Covid-19 cases. To be fair the NODRFT had a solid social distance and covid related protocol to take place for the event. So the team was going to be safe either way. As they continued to share their plans for a great time in New Orleans, I did get a wee bit jelly for I love a good trip out of Florida with buds. But you know it’s for the best despite the upset as health is a key part of living. Also in this crazy motorsport we love, safety always comes first*
*Well more like tell death, not today and send it anyways.
No event is sad, but the event prep continues as it’s always good to be prepared. Leo who was in the midst of getting rid of the corollas booty dimples and adding some more wide. The plan to add over fender flares to the rear over fenders so he could run a bigger wider tire and wheel setup. Yes Bigger and wider is always the way when searching to get more grip to dip.
The cuts were made to the passenger side before I got there. But I got to witness the driver side being dissected. As the angle grinder cut into the rear over fender, amongst the dust a sweet, probably toxic scent of the body kit being cut smelled so good. Lol it will always amaze me how most things car related have a pleasant scent but are terrible for you. Have you ever smelt racing fuel? It smells like purple.
As I might have disclosed my love for toxic sweets scents(I don’t huff gas for fun), Leo dusted the dust and got back to fabricating for gains.
Jessica, GutterClub USA senior photographer who is set to graduate from the University of Miami(Go Canes! Go Sports!!). Yes, yet again covid got in the way of Covid Safe graduation ceremony the university had planned for its 2020 graduates with family and friends to attend. The university changed their plans to a stay home ZOOM internet meeting graduation. Bum about that for sure, after years in college and not able to do the song and dance and of course the once in a lifetime silly photo opp with you being silly or not walking across the stage while the crowd cheers you and others on and how can I forget the throwing of your cap in the air. Yep being robbed of that once in a lifetime opportunity sucks.
But congrats Jessica! Woot you did it!! Hope you get a good ass job and all your dreams come true!!!
However in true fashion for this year the good fellas at Klutch Kickers who’ve been hosting events this year at Emerald Coast Dragway. Told Santa to hold their beer while they swooped in to save their drift-mas(lol sorry). The new event came in clutch(pun intended) because they were to also attend the End of Year Bash in New Orleans. And I assume they were like hey we have a track let’s make it happen to keep the party going. This for Gutter Club was a saving grace for their Nola trip being this new event on the same weekend. So with that breath of fresh air and newly Airbnb reservations for destination Destin Florida. They were pumped once again to drift vacation once again far away from home.
Whoa! Product placement product shoots with Jessica. As Pablo came back with two things, fresh White Claws and a fresh Gutter Club USA pullover hoodie. They set up the shoot for the online garment detail shot.
Check them out and grab one or two or all of them, by visiting
Quick someone contact White Claw and get to sponsor Pablo. As he is seen in ever photo with one in hand. The product placement is natural. In this one he is cooling in crocs laughing beside his better half Letty. See he is the perfect spokesman for your drift related advertising campaign.
Danny wondering when is Jake going to edit his Flamenco Flamingo pics as he prepares to paint Leo‘s rear over fenders. Where are the pics JAKE! lol
A Shirt not tuck in, more like a shirtless Kyle talk about how we all should get a Lexus GS for more room to bang (drifting). Nearly censor the pic because he was showing his nips. But we support the free nip movement. So enjoy that.
So in the end Gutter Club USA gets their drift-cation. And I’m happy for them as this year closes on a happy time.
Never give up, always keep working, take the time to appreciate things, love ones, pets and the free ability to go outside. If this year hasn’t been an eye opener about how fragile our time is and how in an instance all plans can change regardless of what you do. Remember you really have no control but more so on how you respond to the options good or bad , which are presented to you. Love you all , thanks for the wait!
p.s. Would we ever find out why toilet paper was coveted at the start of this pandemic lol?
