HOMEDAZE WITH RODD BECKER

The rebuild of Rodd’s drift car is the ultimate father and son downhill soap box car dream. With the guidance of Rodd’s father at the helm of this project, only the best of the best would be used in the making of this car. Mr. Becker Sr. is one hands on and crafty fella, he himself did quite a bit of racing too, but more so on the drag racing side of things. Throughout this build, there are noticeable influences over Rodd, with the custom body paneling, making the body kit fit just right over the wheels, to the air ducts seen on the rear quarter windows to keep Rodd cool and his car as well. The paint was done by him too, that signature Becker Blue. The original Nissan power plant got booted out in favour of a high horse power plant, with an extra four cylinders they upgraded to a Chevy LS motor. It was Rodd’s preference to continue with a naturally aspirated platform instead of trying to learn the challenges of a boosted engine. With this father and son team, the car as we know it will be a monster!
