This, however, did not stop us from getting rowdy! Everyone in attendance had little to no FVCKS to give, it was written all over their faces! They knew it was their last time on this great track, and it was high time to bring out the goods. The main competition was one for the history books people, it came down to an extremely close match up with Abalos Alberto, and current crown holder, Bill Stenger. But the two-time champion was dethroned in this final bout! Seceding the crown to Abalos, the new, and final King of Countyline!

The real show did not start until after the event, with party trains of the drift kind stretching some ten cars or more! Massive burnouts! Hugh doughnuts! Impressive feats enough to satiate the Drift Gods, and send these sacred grounds to Drift Valhalla! Once the festivities died down, we closed the night with an awesome farewell party, eating our fill of BBQ and had a grand time saying our goodbyes and paying our respects. This track was more than just our home, it was an extension of us all. It granted us drifters a place to spread our wings, and sheltered our tiny but unique circle of truly talented drivers. It’s very sad that it has to end; the final, epic chapter in the South Florida drift scene. Some question if it actually is, hoping that there’s some slither of a possibility of the track reopening at some point. But, it’s too soon to tell, and right now, I think we’ve really seen the last of this place.
