Never in my in life have I met someone so, cheerful and passionate about enjoying the simple facts of life. Yoilen proves the point that having a never ending positive outlook on life is one of the greatest assets one can mustard. As he carries this onto his drifting you can see he is ever so often seeking constant enjoyment this motorsport ballet. Always seen with a huge smile on his face, this Cuba native at the age of 16 moved to Michigan for 3 years then made his way down to the beautiful city of Miami. As his story goes, he got his first taste of drifting from watching the Keep Drifting Fun videos and of course as he is not afraid to admit it the fast and furious: Tokyo drift for obvious reasons, duh. With good measures however that taste only brought his new found lust for the sport to dig deeper into world of drifting and find local events which being a spectator gave him another itch.
That gawdammit! Itch of fvck… I need this in my life. The I want to drift itch. As current medical science knows there is only one cure for that for that dreadful itch (trust me it’s the only way). He saved up and bought his current car from Side Mission Garage. It was only a shell with no title upon purchase. With his friends helping him in every way they could, every paycheck after paycheck, blood, sweat, and tears(oh the tears) the 6 months of hard work pay off. Yoilen was clearly on his way to soothe and medicate that itch, but as per usual life always throws a pop quiz of determination at you when you are flying high above the clouds. This quiz was in the form of nearly 5 months after his car was completed he got into a bad accident which destroyed his whole front end. A truck hit his car trying to avoid him on the highway because he spun out on due to having bald tires and wish washy camber setup, it’s crazy how a car can change your whole life.
As Yoilen seen this incident as a simple way of starting the process over, but better than before. He got back on his grind and once again to built his drift bae. His car is pretty modest. Stock engine with an upgraded radiator to keep things cool while ensuing the sideway abuse, e-fans, and intake with a open air filter as well. The interior is gutted for weight savings, his driver seat replaced with a bucket seat and harnesses to keep his buns safe and secured. Also a racing steering wheel, over sized shift knob and dope stickers on his dash board. On the outside sporting a body kit with 50mm rear over fenders, type x wing and currently no front bumper to show off that teal grill with his neon green bash bar.
As the other half of the team Nameless he can be seen tearing up the streets of miami with his buddy Ricky. I asked him what his plans for the future were. He smiled and told me he just want to keep having fun learning to get better and making his car perform greater than before. No aspiration to go pro at this point, but if the opertunity came about he wouldn’t hesitate to jump on it. It seems pretty evident that what ever the outcome he would be happy as long as he can keep drifting for the rest of his life.
